OVERVIEW
The Common Good, an initiative of The Prince Charles Hospital, has been serving up their iconic Ekka Strawberry Sundaes to generations since the ‘80s and as such has become a household name.
IVY PR has been working with the NFP since 2021 (2021-24) to spotlight their impactful work beyond Show Week. Specially how donations’ have contributed to life-saving research in four key areas, heart disease, lung disease, mental health and dementia.
Our job was to increase brand awareness with a broader audience, expanding consumer recall as more than just a sundae!
APPROACH
Reoccurring fundraising events were the pillars of our press strategy each year, leveraging national and local media to help drive donations.
From a unique dementia care unit to world-first heart transplant technology, projects funded by The Common Good are groundbreaking. National media agree, with coverage highlights including A Current Affair, The Australian and Today Show.
Key brand talent, volunteers, patient case studies and researchers, provided anecdotes that enhanced the campaign’s authenticity and emotional resonance, making it more relatable and impactful.
